Common questions

What is peptide therapy?

Peptides are short chains of amino acids, the building blocks of proteins. Some are made into prescription medications that act on specific signals in the body. A licensed provider reviews your health history and decides whether a peptide is appropriate for you.

Are compounded peptides FDA-approved?

No. Compounded medications are prepared by a licensed pharmacy for an individual patient and are not FDA-approved. The FDA does not review compounded medications for safety, effectiveness or quality. A brand-name version of bremelanotide (PT-141) is FDA-approved for certain premenopausal women; compounded PT-141 is not.

Do I need a prescription?

Yes. Every VEVArx peptide requires an online evaluation and a prescription from a licensed provider. Your card isn't charged until you're approved, and not everyone is approved.

Can I take more than one peptide?

Some patients use more than one. Your provider will review your goals and health history and let you know what's appropriate. Ask about our NAD+ & Glutathione stack.

Can I cancel?

Yes, anytime from your patient portal. Month-to-month plans renew monthly; 3-month plans renew every 3 months. See our Terms for the full cancellation and refund policy.

Not sure which one fits?

Start with the peptide closest to your goal. Your provider will review your health history and recommend what's appropriate for you.
